They are for granting wishes, but be careful what you ask for. The plate is a photo I took of one of the local artists here in Belize. He does all his work with a knife and a spoon sitting under a tree in his yard. He digs his own clay and mixes it with sand and grass. When the peices dry, builds a fire in a pit with wood and burns the peices. Its called Raku, and quite delicate.

Ooooh, I was once a raku artist ... closest art from the earth ... they must be VERY powerful wish eggs :)

Is the plate some sort of gecko?

Those eggs really are magical. I've never seen such sparkly ones before!

Love the colours!

And word verification is magical too -

If I changed mediums, it would be to ceramics. The plates and magic jars have geckos and lizards on them. I love them, and have used them as subjects in still life paintings.

Another wonder. It's not just the eggs, it's that plate too.
