Price List for Answers

The tourists are coming, we're getting traveling refugees from all over Central America and the Yucatan because so far... we've been lucky with the weather. Its like a wave of foreigners hit the island yesterday. This year I've made up my new price list.
I get asked the same questions over and over.

Where are you from? $1

How long have you lived here? $2

Do you like living here? Dinner and drinks

Think anyone will be offended if I add this to the bottom of the menu right after the desserts?

The electrician was in the store working on the lights. His name is Birdegg or sometimes he's called Dirty Cash. His real name is Eggbert, I think. But you see where I'm going, things get reversed, like poles. He's getting better at his work though, this time we only have 1 mystery switch, 1 light dangling with no apparent way to turn it on and 1 zzzzzssssshhhhhttttt sounding light cracking and popping like a special effect in a horror movie.

I have Tiger Eyes. I found this quiz on Caroline's blog

tigereyes

You could make an addition to the menu with the info...

... and that way if I ever happen to turn up in your place I'll know not to ask those quetions...

maybe you should put the answers on the menue and then just INCLUDE the price automatically as part of "service charge" :)

My first question to new customers: "Where have PARKED your yacht?"
That seems to break the ice straight away because most of them will have arrive by taxi...
Every now and then someone points to their yacht and then the conversation turns to Naval Architecture...

As for answers to questions about myself, hold on, let me grab a chair!
Part of the service...

Great answers!
I've also found that if I start the conversation with "is this your first time to Belize?" it gets there mind off who I am and WHAT I'm doing here. I also try to ask them questions about their trip.
I am really thinking about writing a couple of paragraphs and putting it on the back of the menu. Its not the Caye Caulker tourists that annoy me, its the overfed, newlywed or nearly dead cruise ship tourists that come here for a couple of hours, cruise through the shop on high speed, buy nothing, but take up all my time answering personal questions. I've also started speaking with a Belizean or spanish accent sometimes. Its not that I'm ungrateful for the customers, believe me, tis the wear and tear.
