I'm pleased to have been invited to participate in Black and White Photo Challenge especially after viewing the site and seeing so many fabulous photos.
This photo was shot at Seaside Cabanas located right here on Caye Caulker, just before shooting the wedding on Feb 14. The color version (Stairway to Heaven) was in a previous post.
The photo below was my second favorite.
My favorite part of this photo are the soft palm shadows on the sand. I was standing in the shadow of the building but shooting into the sun and that's why you don't see any water and beach beyond the retaining wall.

The b/w stairway looks even better than the colour version.
ohhhh just want to dig in my toes where the cool shaddow from the palm is! prrrreeeettyyyy
I thought the same, that the b&w stairway looks more dramatic.
Amazing how b&w pics. have more mood, drama...this weekend I will definitely check out the b & white pics.
Thanks guys for all the accolades. Sometimes a b&w photo is more interesting than the color version. Although I liked how the walls glowed too. I changed the setup on my comments Ria, to cut down on gutless trolls who like to hit and run. The locals have found out about the blog and are stalking me.
