Illustration Friday July 22

I've been watching Illustration Friday for a while, always with the excuse that I don't have enough time, or can't figure this stuff out. Well all excuses aside, here goes.
This is a watercolor that I did on Arches 140lb paper using watercolors, watercolor pencil and prismacolor pencils. I was on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala in a litle village called San Marcos when I painted this.

Your drawing definately has a peaceful feel about it. Belize sounds wonderful. The place must be working a charm on you.

Once I spent a week in the country cruising around the cays with some local fisherman I met in a bar. Even though it was over twenty years ago, I still talk about it. It was great fun.

Thanks for the accolades and encouragement. This painting ended up being the label and hang tag for an aromatherapy oil named "Serenity Oil"

lovely and definitely tranquil. I've been to your island and I have to say I'm a bit jealous you get to live there full time - how wonderful. I hope to visit again someday and will search out your gallery if you are still there.
