I have passed a milestone. This morning I successfully talked and cried my way out of a Mexican traffic ticket. Going the wrong direction on a one way street. I said these magic words -Lo siento, mea culpa, mea culpa. (I am sorry, my fault, my fault) accompanied by a bucket of tears and the bewildered Mexican police officer let me go with a warning.
Hmm... I will have to remember that, say you are sorry and cry...
hahahaha Lee, luckily we are females too! They surely show remorse for the females than the males.
ReplyDeleteYeah - crying males might move them in a different direction!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Lee--I'm sure you'll never do that again (at least on that particular streeet :>). Your blog is delightful, and I am so glad that your comment on Marionette's blog introduced me to it. We absolutely loved Belize on a visit a few years ago, both the rain forest interior and the beach on Ambergris Caye. We need to return to see more.
ReplyDeleteYOU are a riot!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lee,
ReplyDeleteI'm a college student from California, and I've been considering visiting Belize to size it up as a potential new home for awhile now. I need so badly to speak to someone who has actually made the move! If you wouldn't mind answering some questions for me, I would be so grateful. My e-mail address is fusslaundry@htmail.com - please drop me a line if you're willing to speak with me a little.
Thank you!
Jasmine Fischer
I ain't trying that here, these chaps are tough, man. They can see a gal cry and just harden their hearts, shees.
